Well, she has come a long way in just a few days! I took this video this morning and she is on the move! She is 5 1/2 months and I am sure by 6 months she will be well on her way! Lucy was the same way...we've got our hands full! Oh yeah, and I am still planning on posting about this weekend in Troy...this was just a little more exciting! ha! (oh yeah, all you google readers, you may have to come to the blog to watch the video)

Molly's new tricks

Molly is starting to sit up for longer periods of time by herself and she is doing this little push-up thing when she is on her belly....instead of her getting on her knees like she is going to crawl, she pushes herself up on her toes! crazy little thing. she will be so happy when she is mobile! stay tuned for a new post soon on our events this past weekend...hopefully I will get it up tonight, or maybe tomorrow...I am procrastinating a lot lately!

Our Pumpkin Patch Experience

We went yesterday afternoon to Old Baker Farm in Harpersville to go to their Pumpkin Patch. We were going to go on a Saturday, but we are pretty booked for the rest of Oct so we decided to go when Matt got home. They are open until dark, so we knew we didn't have much time b/c we got there a little after 5. It was still sunny and kinda warm so I didn't think it would get that cold...well after about 15 minutes, little Molly's hands were pretty icy...oops! There seemed to be a good number of cars in the parking lot, but when we got out there, we didn't see many people around and had to wait for the tractor to come back with a group of people from the patch. So while we waited, we got to see animals in the farm, climb the hay mountain, and ride the little horsey tire swings. Then the tractor brought back a big group and took just the 4 of us by ourselves on a very bumpy hayride! It was pretty fun though and Molly was so good hanging out in the moby wrap...I think she liked the bumpy ride! We got there and the tractor dropped us off and picked up the last group that was in the patch...so, we were out there all by ourselves...it was interesting and a little scary b/c we thought the tractor man might forget to pick us up! But right as it was getting dark and right after Matt said, "I'm giving him 5 more minutes to get here before I get really mad and ask for my money back" (please remember we were out in what seemed like to be the middle of nowhere, without our cell phones, for about 20 minutes by ourselves) the tractor pulled up! We really did have a great time and I am so glad we went on a week night to have the experience all alone with our little family. Then the tractor man was nice enough to pull the tractor right up next to our car to unload our pumpkins! We got a good little variety...a white one, a green and orange one and 2 "cinderella" ones..did you know that is what they are called b/c they look like cinderella's carriage? You learn something new everyday! And the lady that worked there was nice enough to take lots of pics for us! Happy Fall everyone...hope you get to go to a pumpkin patch near you!

Smartest baby on the block

video

Molly has this book with picture words and buttons you push that say the word. She has been playing with it for a while now and she has learned where the "shoes" button is. It is so cute! Well, it is really the button she pushes the most, but she does actually push it and she does it when we ask her...of course when we decided to get it on video it took her longer than it usually does, but it is still the cutest thing!

Crazy pictures found in my camera...

My blog friend, Hillary, is hosting a linky party on her blog and asked me to participate. The theme is all things crazy. There are a lot of crazy things going on here, especially since we've had our youngest, but I wanted to keep it lighthearted and funny and share some pictures with you. They are not just your average pictures of the kids...oh no, these are crazy pictures I have found on my camera taken by a kid. That kid would be my oldest, Lucy, who just now as I type told me "I just wanted to be a kitty mommy" but she was talking about dressing up as a cat, and it wouldn't surprise me if she meant she really wanted God to make her a kitty. Anyway, found these pics a while back and me and Matt got a kick out of them so I hope you will too!

Barbie and Ken are her favorite subjects. Love how she posed them different for each picture. And there are plenty more where that came from, but they are all about the same and about 4 more of Lucy's feet. Crazy girl! Make sure you go over to her blog and check out all the craziness!

sisters

Molly is 5 months today and little miss Lucy is almost 5...they love each other dearly. Please ignore the cat in the background...that is Smokey. he is 8 or 9ish.

i know...

it's been a while. hope i haven't lost all 2 of my readers. just not much exciting going on. we are keeping pretty busy with work, school and watching our nephew jude once a week. i thought maybe if i sat down to write stuff would come to mind to talk about, but it is not really working! i guess i am just brain dead. that is what 2 kids and no sleep do to you! molly is still getting up once at night. she goes to bed around 9, gets up around 5, eats and goes back to sleep till about 8. it is not too bad but there are the occasional nights when she gets up more than that and stays awake. anyway, i am not complaining too much...she has become such a sweet baby. she loves playing with lucy now and it is so sweet to see the 2 of them together. she is 5 months old today! hard to believe it has been that long! and lucy will be 5 next month! oh my.
i am really loving the fall. it really is one of my favorite times of the year. i hope maybe this weekend we can make it to the pumpkin patch. and me and lucy will have to do our glitter pumpkins again this year (more on that when we actually do them!) it is a fun little crafty thing to do. i have also missed this year being able to go to some troy games. it is a pretty difficult thing to do with a non-bottle drinking baby. and it is a long trip to do back and forth in one day, which is what matt usually does. maybe we will brave it and go to homecoming this year...anybody else going to troy for homecoming? ok well i hear molly getting up. i need to take a few 5 month old pics of her today and post them on here! thanks for bearing with me and my non exciting blog!

Molly's baby dedication

I totally forgot to post about Molly's baby dedication. It was on the 20th...we have a few pics but I think in almost all of them we look miserable (which we weren't!)or were yawning! It is pretty funny....but we are so glad to be a part of a church that sincerely values children and is dedicated (along with the parents of course) to raising our children to know and learn about the Lord.

Molly's first bowl of cereal

Molly did so good eating her first bowl of rice cereal!! The dr said to wait until 5 months...or even 6, but baby girl was ready! She hardly even spit it out! I think she really ate a lot of it. Another reason why we decided to go ahead and start food is b/c she won't take a bottle. Geez...we have been having a time with her! I have to stop taking her with me to work so I need her to take a bottle once while I am at work. She was taking one with no problem up until I needed her too! So, I figured if I started her on baby food she can push back her feedings to closer to 4 hours and she will be fine to wait to eat until I get home (since I work 9-1) I know she won't starve to death but I hate for whoever is watching her to deal with the fussiness! Anyway, she did so good and the way she scarfed it down, I am confident that she is ready now instead of waiting a few more weeks. This video doesn't show her first spoonfuls, but her first 2 bites, she didn't even spit any of it out! Maybe she will sleep a little better at night too...but we will see! Oh and if anybody has any tips on getting her to take a bottle, do tell! I think I have tried everything and every bottle available! (the video is not showing up in google reader, so if you want to see it, then you actually have to go to my blog page)

Did you know my hubby was famous?

Here's a little video clip of Matt in his glory days with the Giants....he is #12 and was the punter/holder. This was on the local news there when he played for them in 2002.
